The mechanics of Disney Doodles are simple, intended for artists of all ages and abilities.
Disney Doodles use Disney artist Scott Cook's proprietary "Landmark Method" to:
- Develop spatial awareness
- Recognize and reinforce simple shapes
- Use shapes in relationship to each other to achieve likeness
- Each doodle starts with and builds from a basic shape or gesture.
- Doodles have no more than six steps to help facilitate memorization.
- All doodles are done in a unique, simplified art style.
- The goal of the art style is not about being “on model,” but about creating a likeness.
- Each doodle has a difficulty rating of 1 to 4 from most simple to increasingly difficult.
- Ratings are based on the shape, the level of detail, and the geometric vocabulary used.
- Disney Doodles are published by Disney Learning and Disney Publishing Worldwide ISBN: 978DPWVDPB692
